API Restrictions
Request Restrictions
Polygon Size
The general maximum polygon size allowed in the Vultus API is currently 1000ha (hectares). This means that polygons over this threshold can not be created or used in any services. Several polygons can be created for areas of 1000ha.
Certain services might also have their own polygon size limit, which if this is the case, can be found on the respective documentation page in the limitation section. Currently the only service with a different polygon size limit is the daily vegetation index estimation service, this service limits processing to polygons under 50ha, meaning larger polygons will be rejected for further processing. Again, several polygons can be created and analysis can be requested for areas over this service specific polygon size limit.
Time Range
The general maximum size of time range for processing/retrieving Vultus analysis is 1 year, for processing reasons of single requests. Requests over 1 year length will be rejected. If larger time ranges are necessary, it can be split up in several requests and will be perfectly process/retrieved.
Start Dates
Vultus provides analysis from 2018-01-01, when the satellite data started becoming available. This is the minimum supported start date for all services, no analysis from before this date can be processed or retrieved. Requests with earlier start dates will be rejected.
End Dates
Vultus provides analysis up until yesterday. This is the maximum supported end date for all services, no analysis for today or later can be processed/retrieved. Satellite images can take some time to be uploaded and available, so if you would request an image for today, but the day has not passed, your image might not be available yet, leading to it being flagged as unavailable. To ensure you obtain your image from today, you can only request it the day after, tomorrow. Requests with later end dates than yesterday will be rejected.
